A little bit about how we were conceived...

Melissa McMillen, owner and creator of Blissful Bumps.com dreamed about designing clothes since she was a young girl.  "I remember sketching ideas in the margins of my class notes.  I was constantly trying to think of unique ideas and drawing was a great creative outlet for me."  

    After high school Melissa attended the International Academy of Design in Tampa, FL to study Fashion Design.  After some experience in the maternity wear industry and during her second pregnacy, Melissa decided to start her line of clothing with maternity wear.

    With the help of her mother and husband, Melissa started her own line of maternity wear in 2007 labeled Melissa Renee Maternity.  Now she has expanded her line to inlude other designers at Blissforyourbump.com.  "I love designing clothes for the pregnant mom because I love making them feel great.  My pregnancies aren't always queezy free, so I understand the need for comfortable and stylish maternity clothes....they always made me feel a little better!"

Rachel Walters - In House Designer

Rachel Walters is a Fashion Design Major at Missouri State University.  Rachel helped us launch our Spring wholesale label designs this year, Melissa Renee - Spring 2009.  She also currently continues to help use produce and manufacture our line.
